GUILT

Do you often feel guilty?


Guilt is a delusional emotion. We feel guilty for what we did, unable to understand that what we did was what we could do at that moment.


Whether unintentionally or intentionally, our entire life has led us to decide, at that specific moment, that this was the thing to do, whether it was relatively right or wrong. It is what we could do at that moment. Our choice was definitive.


We are making choices all the time. Every choice we make has consequences. And what comes is the place where we have put ourselves. And we can deal with it; otherwise, we wouldn’t be there. That is life.


And if guilt arises, look back and apologize if you truly feel you should do so; otherwise, live in peace with your choice. You can always change. We cannot pretend that we do not affect others with our choices. Or even ourselves. We cannot pretend to please everyone. That is life.


It is our internal sense of coherence that is most important for a creature of nature like us. Just try not to cause harm, even though sometimes that may be inevitable. We cannot control how others will interpret our actions. Or even how we will do that. We are new every second of our lives.
