ADHD: It’s Like Having a “Little Engine” Always Running.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects a person’s ability to control their behavior and pay attention. It is typically diagnosed in childhood and can persist into adolescence and adulthood.

Children with ADHD act impulsively, struggle to wait their turn, make careless mistakes, and have difficulty following simple instructions. Even everyday tasks can be affected by this disorder.

It can impact academic performance, social relationships, and overall functioning.

Teachers can help identify ADHD, as children spend a lot of time in school and engage in cognitive activities there.

Treatment involves a combination of medication, behavioral therapy, and emotional support.
